Two fire officers along with a fireman were awarded with the President Bravery award for saving lives at the recent building collapse incident at R A Colony, Goregaon. Retired Chief Fire Officer Kiran Kadam is one of them being the recently. Kiran Kadam has been felicitated for the third time for displaying commendable courage. The more we praise about the works of the fire-fighters and soldiers, the lesser would it be as it requires immense strength and courage to put one’s own life in danger to save others. Recently, the fire fighting officers were felicitated with the President Bravery Award which has once again made the Mumbai fire brigade department proud. One of them is Kiran Kadam, a Retired Chief Fire Officer who along with others saved the lives of three workers. Kiran Kadam who has also been felicitated earlier for his commendable work says that his achievements are a cumulative team work. Kiran Kadam however is disappointed with the youth entering the field. Expressing anguish, he said that the zest and drive is lost in the generation today.
