A VISIT TO MOTHER’S TIFFIN ON MOTHER’S DAY

May 9th is celebrated as Mother’s day. This year on Mother’s Day we bring to you a special report on a group of mommies who have utilized their talent of cooking to serve the society and today, their outlet, Mother’s Tiffin has become the favorite food destination of corporate employees and bachelors. What makes a thali of home-made food special? Well apart from the fact that it is hygienic and healthy, home food made in the kitchen has its own special taste of mother’s love and affection. While most of the mothers cook for their family, these are a group of mommies who have taken their talent in the kitchen to the outer world. Their outlet called Mothers Tiffin located at Airoli has become instrumental for bachelors and working women in the area. The thali is economical and convenient for all. The fish, meat, and vegetables are mouth watering. The waft of spices is what welcomes you when you visit here. This idea was the brainchild of Ashwini Gavaskar and partner Nilesh Nayak. With will to serve the society and to fulfill the craving for cooking, Ashwini gave up her managerial post at Pharmaceutical Company. Her friends encouragement led her to this work. Mother’s Tiffin’s menu will make your mouth water with its fish curry, chicken curry and prawns gravy. The food made here is healthy, fresh and well absolutely homely. Her partner Nilesh Nayak shared with us how Ashwini used to share her tiffin with him and then the idea kicked off starting something.
