Murder-1Mumbai: A 27-year-old Kannada actress and her naval lover have been arrested for killing a youth, who worked as the creative head in a film production house. The 27-year-old was stabbed to death, his body chopped into pieces and burnt in a jungle in Thane. Maria Monica Susairaj and her Jerome Mathew, a lieutenant in the navy, were arrested by the police in the murder case of media creative chief Neeraj Grower. Grower, who earlier worked with Balaji Telefilms, had recently joined Synergy Adlabs and was last seen with Susairaj in her apartment at Chincholi Bunder at Malad on May 7. Two days later, Grower’s father filed a missing complaint with the Malad police station. Meanwhile, Susairaj too went to the Malad police and handed over Grower’s mobile. At this point the crime branch began to keep an eye on Susairaj and, suspecting her movements, detained and questioned her for two days. In the end she gave in and narrated the entire sequence of events. She then took the police team to the spot where she and Mathew had burnt the body. A fight had broke out between Matthew and Grower which led to Mathew, who is physically strong, stabbing Grower with a kitchen knife.
