The IPL has engulfed cricket lovers all across the country and same is the case of Navi Mumbai. The first match in the satellite city would be held on 27th April at the D Y Patil stadium in Nerul. A press conference was held by D Y Patil to present before the media with details of this mega event. The press conference was presided over by NMMC Commissioner Vijay Nahata, ACP R D Shinde, Nandkumar Chougule and President of D Y Group Vijay Patil. To maintain security during matches, the Navi Mumbai Police department would be deploying around 700 constables while another 930 would be deployed from a private agency. Keeping in mind the huge crowd expected, special parking arrangements would be made in the neighboring sectors. The road leading to L P Circle to SIES College would be declared as No Parking zones while as many other roads are being earmarked as parking zones and entry to these roads would be prohibited. Looking at the restrictions that is being made to accommodate parking on this day, locals of Nerul may just have to stay in their homes to evade the commotion.
