AED 173 bn provided by UAE as foreign aid since inception


According to a report survey, the United Arab Emirates has provided funds of AED173 bn in foreign aid since the country’s formation in 1971.

The Ministry of International Cooperation and Development said that about Dh129bn, or 74 per cent, of the aid was given by Government institutions.

The same was reported by Emirates News Agency WAM which also stated that the biggest recipient of the foreign aid was Asia, with AED 79.4 bn, followed by Africa with AED 75.4bn.
