AFTER CENTER’S PRESSURE, STATE CHIEF SECRETARY BEGINS ENQUIRY IN RAHUL RAJ SHOOT OUT CASE

An inquiry was conducted by Chief Secretary Johnny Joseph which also included five women who were standing at the bus stop in Kurla when the Rahul Raj shoot-out occurred. The report is expected in two- weeks. Under the directions of Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Secretary Johny Joseph began his inquiry into the Kurla shoot-out with a visit to the scene of the incident and spoke to commuters, driver and conductor of the bus. He later went to the spot of the incident in Bail bazar junction, where the 332 number double-decker bus was parked. Questions were asked over the incident by the Central government, prompting the state government to initiate an inquiry. We spoke with Chief Secretary Johnny Joseph who stated that this was an open-minded inquiry and the report will be submitted within two weeks. Ajaz Khan for NMTV News.
