AFTER JUSTICE TO RESIDENTS IN CONDOMINIUMS, STANDING COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN MLA SANDEEP NAIK ASSURES OF TAKING UP THE ISSUE OF GOVERNMENT QUARTERS NEXT

standing-4In the weekly Standing Committee meet, member Anant Sutar raised the issue of NMMC doing something for residents living in government quarters. MLA Sandeep Naik who is the chairman of the committee as well, assured of surveying the number of quarters and assured of putting up a proposal in the state for bringing about a policy for them. In the weekly Standing Committee meet, member Anant Sutar took up the issue of NMMC addressing the civic issues within government quarters on the lines of CIDCO condominiums. Everyone is aware of how due to rules, NMMC was not able to conduct any civic work inside CIDCO built condominiums across Navi Mumbai for years. As a result tax paying citizens were living in highly unhygienic conditions in these condominiums. While NMMC was making efforts of doing something for these citizens for years, it was only when the powerful team of MLA Sandeep Naik as Standing Committee Chairman of NMMC and Commissioner Vijay Nahata followed up the matter with the state, did the work within condominiums begin. Today more than 50% of this work has been completed. This has given hopes to those living in government quarters of some civic relief soon. The issue was raised by Anant Sutar in the weekly Standing Committee meet following which MLA Sandeep Naik acknowledged the need of bringing about a policy for bettering the living conditions of residents living in government quarters in Navi Mumbai. Addressing the media later, MLA Sandeep Naik said that he has given instructions to the Commissioner to conduct a survey of government buildings in Navi Mumbai and make a proposal to be put up at the state.
