Farmers and locals at Alibaug have began a battle to save their land and environment from the Tata Reliance Power project in Alibaug. The voice f protest might sound the same like in 22 villages round Hetavne dam but the battle is new. For this one involves the fight of locals and farmers in Alibaug and Konkan against land acquisition and environment destruction that will be cost to over 500 acres of land during the making of TATA Reliance Power project. Farmers voiced protest against the land acquisition protest that the state was following for this project. To protest this, the farmers took out a Gandhi march from their village to Mantralay.
