Navi Mumbai’s infamous political battleground – Airoli, yet again turns a conflicting arena as BJP and Shiv Sena clash over inaugurations of the Airoli auditorium.
Airoli and it’s project has always been the centre of political eyeing which lead Navi Mumbai to witness it’s ill-famed political fracas in the year 2019 where enraged political leaders engaged in in a verbal skirmish of blows turning heads and leaving the tongues of many wagging.
Yet again, The Airoli Auditorium has turned to be a political slugfest between BJP and Shiv Sena as it witnessed inauguration ceremonies by both parties in the time span of a week.
Rekindling the prolonged dispute over the stalled project the inauguration ceremonies conducted by both the squabbling parties have led to allegations of stealing credits over efforts put into establishing the auditorium.
Former Thane Guardian Minister and Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik along with Former Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik with various BJP party workers, in presence of the citizens hosted the site’s bhumipujan on the 31st of August 2021.
The ceremony did not go too well with Shiv Sena leaders and as a matter of fact, Shiv Sena yet again organised another bhumipujan for the auditorium which was conducted by Thane Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde, with various Sena party workers, in presence of senior citizens at the site on the 4th of September 2021.
With the inaugurations happening close to a week’s time, both the conflicting parties have turned Airoli into a political war zone in laying over their hands on the credits of it while signalling a staunch stand on the feud.
Airoli’s auditorium has brought the city’s strongest opponents, BJP’s Ganesh Naik and Sena’s Eknath Shinde on a combat face to face with each other.
The inaugurations witnessed mud-slinging potshots and taunts by both sides as Former Thane Guardian Minister and Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik went onto say that he hasn’t fooled citizens and has ensured that bhumipujan was conducted by senior citizens, he went onto comment that he and his party workers refrain to indulge in the credit-politics and whoever wants it’s credit is free to take it.
Giving a befitting reply to his counterpart, Eknath Shinde alleged Ganesh Naik over delays in the project ever since he was in power, he further accused Ganesh Naik of initiating the credit-politics by downplaying the role and efforts of his then party worker MK Madhavi who presently represents Shiv Sena by hosting an encroached bhumipujan and laying upon the glories of all efforts over his son and Former Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik.
While the inauguration ceremonies saw both leaders pitching their faith in winning the civic polls with a landslide margin, the Airoli auditorium has sadly fallen prey to motives of selfish politics leaving citizens with doubts over it’s completion amid the credit-war.
