Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik’s efforts gets smart connectivity on Thane Belapur road

Chief Minister Devendra Fadavnis arrived in Navi Mumbai to inaugurate two flyovers and one underpass. The flyovers at Ghansoli Talavli and Savita Chemicals and subway at Mahape. While the Chief Minister inaugurated it, it’s known to citizens in Navi Mumbai that the foundations for this projects were kept by former Minister Ganesh Naik. In the year 2014, in one of his signature Janta Darbars held at Vashi, Ganesh Naik had invited MMRDA, CIDCO, NMMC, MIDC and other government agencies working in Navi Mumbai to lay the course for future progress and welfare projects in Navi Mumbai.

It was here that the first discussions were held with former MMRDA Chief UPS Madan to ease the traffic jams and chaos on Thane Belapur Road and soon after the foundations were laid for the two new flyovers and underpass. But the execution needed many more follow up and site visits to take the stock on ground, which was ably handled by Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik. Until the projects saw the lights of the day, MLA Sandeep Naik met MMRDA Chief UPS Madan while also following up the projects with offices of the then Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, the then Dy. CM Ajit Pawar, the then PWP Ministers Jaydutt Kshirsagar and Ranjit Kamble among others. He also paid regular inspection visits to check the projects on ground while also following up the same during sessions of the Maharashtra state assembly.

All efforts paid off when the floyovers and underpass were made open to public. Commuters are ecstatic to say the least. They recalled the difficult commuting time they had in the absence of the flyovers.

Commuters say that life has eased for them now.

Many voiced how peak traffic hours and travel time to offices have reduced drastically courtesy the flyovers and underpass.

Meanwhile Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik expressed a sense of satisfaction for having executed one of the most crucial public-interest projects of commute in his constituency.

To his credit, Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik can easily be termed as one of the few opposition MLAs in the state at the moment who is ensuring that public work in his constituency continues to be executed and promises made to voters are kept, in the interest of tax-paying citizens in his constituency and beyond. In fact, Even CM Devendra Fadnavis has great respect for MLA Sandeep Naik while his development attitude & progressive vision commands respect & admiration from opponents.
