After Aamir Khan and Nana Patekar, it’s Akshay Kumar who’s come out to help the drought stricken Maharashtra
Maharashtra is possibly going through another rough patch. Certain regions in the State is facing severe drought conditions and there is severe water scarcity in Maharashtra.
The government too has tried to better the situation but the drought conditions are getting worse by the day. Many celebrities have come out to help ease the situation. Nana Patekar and Aamir Kahn had come out in support of the cause.
Now, Akshay Kumar too has tried to do his bit. He has donated Rs 50 lakh for Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan and the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked the actor for his contribution.
The Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan is aimed at making the villages drought-proof and will also involve construction of ponds in farms to harvest water.
