Samuel Sheinbein, 34, an American who had fled to Israel after committing a murder died in Sharon Prison in Israel. In 1997, Samuel along with his friend brutally murdered 19 year old Alfred Enrique. After murdering Alfred he dissembled his body parts, burned them and then fled to Israel. It was only after the police retrieved the remains of Alfred the whole crime came into light. Samuel’s friend Aaron Needle, another teenager who had also helped in committing the crime was arrested. However, Aaron committed suicide after sometime inside Maryland prison itself.
At that time US had demanded extradition of Samuel, but according to a law in Israel, It refused to meet US demands. Samuel’s father Saul was born in Israel, and so Samuel was able to qualify for citizenship under Israel’s ‘Law of Return’. But later when Samuel himself confronted on his crime, Israel court sentenced him to 24 years of prison in Sharon Prison in Israel. But on Sunday morning, Samuel seized a guard’s weapon and opened fire at the guards who were present there. Immediately a counter terrorism unit was dispatched in the prison and after a little while of gun battle between him and the forces, Samuel was finally shot down. .
