chougule2Amidst a huge crowd of party workers and party leaders, Shiv Sena and BJP candidate Vijay Chougule filed his nomination for the Thane constituency. Looking at the mammoth crowd that gathered for the nomination filing of Shiv Sena BJP candidate Vijay Chougule for the Thane constituency, looks like the speculations of delimitation affecting Sena votes has come to rest. A huge rally for the nomination filing started from Chinchpada in Navi Mumbai which ended at Thane’s Temi Naka. During this time the sky was filled with saffron flags. Present here with Vijay Chougule was Thane Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde, senior Sena leader Subhash Desai, MLA Anant Tare and Thane’s former Mayor Rajan Vichare. The rally then headed towards the Thane Collectorate office. A tight police security was seen to check the huge number of Shiv Sena party workers that had gathered near the Collector’s office. Confidence and enthusiasm was seen amongst the party leaders while entering the premises to file the nominations. After the nomination was filed, senior Sena Leader Subhash Desai spoke to the media. We also spoke to Shiv Sena BJP candidate Vijay Chougule post his nomination filing. He also stated that victory and defeat depended on the common voters. When Thane’s Sena Chief Eknath Shinde was quested that this time the candidate being a Navi Mumbaikar, there might be some differentiation seen amongst Thaneties and Navi Mumbaikars in the elections, he clearly stated that till now it was Navi Mumbaikars who led to the victory of Shiv Sena in Thane and now it was Thane’s turn. Looking at the huge crowd present during the nomination filing of Vijay Chougule, it is not wrongly said that Thane is indeed the stronghold of the Shiv Sena and with the presence of Vijay Chougule the stronghold is felt all the more.
