After weeks of having relief from load shedding, power cuts have once again resumed in Navi Mumbai and Thane posing as a major discomfort for residents and loss for business houses. Ironically, Union Minister for Power Sushilkumar Shinde says that the state too is responsible for the power crisis in the state. The Minister forgets that he too was the CM of the state, when the problem went from bad to worse. The heat of the setting summer has become murkier with power cuts resuming in Navi Mumbai and Thane. The worst months in terms of weather are hitting the city and the state has once again failed to bring about any temporary relief. Not surprisingly, residents and business houses are running out of patience.Many citizens have pinned hopes that the state will liver bring relief from the power crisis but if the statement of the Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde is anything to go by, there isn’t much hope. In a recent event, Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde pushed the blame of power crisis on the state government. Very clearly Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde is saying that his own party Congress that has ruled the state in the last few years has failed to study the power crisis that hit the state making it one of the worst power crises in its history. It is the failure of the state government led by CM Vilasrao Deshmukh that Maharashtra is neck deep is power crisis and the time has come that senior leaders of the party itself are blaming CM Vilasrao Deshmukh and the state government for this failure.
