Two students of Apeejay Schools in the city have shown commendable performance in arts and sports. Meet seven year old aspiring artist Richa Agarwal and swimmer champ Nidhi Shetty of the school who have outshone not just in the city but globally too. Seven year old Richa Agarwal is basking in glory of her current achievement where she received a certificate and prize in an international drawing competition. A student of Apeejay School Kharghar she was among the eight best entries for the international awards to be selected in the Mitsubishi Asian Childrens Eniki Festa, India. The event was organized by National Federation of UNESCO Association, Japan and was judged by international jury of judges who met at Tokyo. Students were asked to draw illustrated diaries on the theme “Here is my Life” wherein Richa’s first illustration was of Ganpati. Richa’s parents have never pressurized her and made sure that they give her the right support. Nidhi Shetty of Apeejay school, Nerul has won 2 golds 1 silver and the best swimmer trophy at the CBSE west zone swimming competition. The inter school sports and games competition was held at Jain international school, Bilaspur where she won the best swimming trophy in the under-12 category. She got two gold medals one for the 50 meter and the other for the 100 meter free style. She also got a silver in the 50 meter butterfly.
