The APMC market has been directed to use ethylene gas to ripen mangoes. The state government has banned calcium carbide carbide last season due to its harmful effect on health and urged them to use ethylene gas. The mango traders at the APMC fruit market have found a remedy to ripen green harvested mangoes plucked fresh from the orchards. The company looking after this process is Chemtron Science Laboratory whose Director is Ashish Srivastav.
