Australian Prime Minister pledges stronger action against terrorism after Sunday terrorist attack in a café, Sydney

Speaking on the 17 hour siege in a Sydney café that had happened on Sunday which resulted in three deaths along with the gunmen, Prime Minister Tony Abbott pledged that strict and stronger actions will be taken immediately to curb the rising terrorism within Australia. The actions that Ton Abbott had been talking about were from the recommendations from the counter terrorism report. The actions included appointment of a senior officer who would acknowledge counterterrorism measures, better coordination among Australia’s surveillance agencies and initiatives to counter violent extremism.
