On the occasion of Diwali, Awahan Pratishthan in Airoli, under its special drive of creating a bond amongst the different cultures, celebrated the festival with the residents of Eastern India. People residing in the eastern region of the country such as Meghalaya, Arunchal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland etc migrate to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai for education and employment purpose. Since their features resemble like the Chinese, the organization conducted the programme to show that these people as a part of India. Moreover, people from eastern region should also know how the festival is celebrated in Maharahstra. More than 25 students from different states were present during the programme. The prgramme was held at Shri Siddhivinayak Mandir auditorium at sector 5, Airoli. Also, students from other states were present to celebrate Bhaubeej with the members of the Pratishthan.
