bank-Robbery-2In a shocking case, a bank was robbed of Rs 11 lakhs at Nerul. Early in the morning, National Cooperative bank ltd situated at sec 2, Nerul was looted of Rs 11 lakhs. The burglars entered the bank impersonating as CBI officers. Suddenly taking out their pistols the robbers conveniently robbed the bank without intimating the security guard outside. After complaint, Deputy Commissioner RD Shinde reached the spot & held a primary investigation where he informed the media about other details of the robbery. The police department also arranged for a dog squad for further inquiry which resulted in the possibility of the robbers utilizing the autorickshaw outside the bank. Although, the city had seen a decline in bank robberies especially after the bank robbery incident at Airoli which led to the death of a policeman, looks like the Navi Mumbai police department has to once again increase its vigilance to avoid such cases from entering the city again.
