Two Teachers from Apeejay School, Kharghar have bagged the City and Industrial Development Corporaton’s Best Teachers award for the fourth consecutive year. Jan Cabral was present for this honor and reports. Every year CIDCO gives out prizes to meritorious students and teachers from across the city. Like last, this year too, Apeejay School Kharghar bought laurels to the school by winning the best teachers award. While Inky Bhaumik bagged the award in Pre primary section, Bina Shukla won it from the secondary section. Speaking about her experience, Bina Shukla said that teaching is a service to mankind. She also said that it is important that the teacher comes to a comfort level with the student. She also said that the time spent in school for knowledge becomes fruitful when the child also receives love and affection. She also appreciated the support from the school and said that she gives the students regular assignments so that the students don’t leave studies for the last moment. She also believes in having frequent interactions with the students’ parents. Pre Primary teacher Inky Bhaumik said that with small children, you have to come down at their level as their behavior keeps changing daily.
