BETTER LATE THAN NEVER – NMMC EDUCATION DEPT TO DISTRIBUTE DIARIES TO STUDENTS

With the aim of improving its quality standards NMMC Education Department has decided to distribute diaries amongst its students. While a good cause, it has come six months late and NMMC is likely to spend lakhs in this proposal. It is usually said that NMMC is an expert in giving away money to contractors in the name of its many visionary projects. A similar case is that of the NMMC Education Department which after the completion of 6 months of the academic year has decided to distribute diaries to the students. There are around 28000 children studying in the 56 schools of NMMC. NMMC Education department is known for always being late in giving students raincoats, uniforms and gumboots. And keeping the tradition it has decided to give diaries after a delay of six months. The department states that the diaries would be very beneficial for the students. Civic schools start their academic year in the second week of June itself and if these diaries were distributed then, students would not just jot down notes but would also have information about their absenteeism, various functions to be held in the school etc. But looks like for NMMC it is better late than never.
