Working on the computer or laptop is a common sight seen in practically every office now. And while your cute laptop or computer may give you that comfort, it has also got its ill effects. A large number of the working class today is suffering from a high stress level, leading to Computer Vision Syndrome. Usage of computer has become inevitable in the present IT and computerized world; moreover it has lead to Computer Vision Syndrome. Computer vision syndrome is a condition involving eye strain and fatigue, temporary weak vision, dry and irritated eyes. Eye Surgeon Dr. Jagannath Boramani says that CVS develops over a period of time when the eyes are exposed to the computer for a long duration. Along with poor eyesight and high stress level, this syndrome also causes backache. But professionals and office goers say that despite the side effects they have no other option but to work on the computer. The younger members of the screen generation are likely to affected by this syndrome as they are focused on computers, cellphones and televisions. Dr. Boramani however says that there are some precautionary measures that can be taken to overcome this syndrome. He suggests averting the eyes every 20 minutes.
