With many cultural bhavans coming up in Navi Mumbai, another would be added to the list, Karnataka Bhavan. The bhumipujan of the same was held at Vashi. Navi Mumbai is soon going to become a hub of diverse culture as after the Kerala, Megalaya & Assam Bhavan, the government of Karnataka have started a project for construction of its new bhavan near Vashi railway station. The Mysore Sales Industries Limited, a government undertaking marketing sector has been entrusted with the responsibility of the construction of this Bhavan by the Karnataka government. We spoke to the Branch Manager of Mysore Sales Industries Limited, Mohan M Naik who gave information on the facilities that the bhavan would provide. He also added how the bhavan would help in spreading the Karnataka culture in Navi Mumbai. Vashi would become the centre of cultural traditions as many exhibitions & cultural events would be held here.
