Speaking during a press conference, BJP spokesperson and MP Prakash Javadekar accused the ruling party for being negligent on issue of terrorism, stating that the Government was being lenient to Pakistan. BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar condemned the statement of National Security Adviser M.K. Narayanan on Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed. He described as a disaster Mr. Narayanan’s reported statement that the lack of action on Saeed was not a litmus test of Pakistan’s willingness to punish the guilty. Javadekar also justified the party’s stand for removing Jaswant Singh from the party. He further informed that the distribution of seats among Shiv sena and BJP would take place within 1 or 2 days and clarified that the internal situation within the BJP would not affect the elections.
