The BMC administration informed the media on the subject in a press conference. The decision to fill vacant SC ST posts within three months comes shortly after the center and state fired the BMC for neglecting the same. According to Commissioner Dr. Jairaj Pathak presently there are 3592 vacant posts in BMC. He said that 550 of these posts have been filled. He added that said that filling SC ST posts poses a few obstacles sometimes and this is why the issue is often delayed. Looks like the BMC needed a push on the subject but like they say, it’s better to be late than never. With cameraperson Abhay Prasad, Rajeev Mishra for NMTV News.
