Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, 64, dies after battling lung infection

Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, 64 yrs old died today after battling with lung infection for the past few days. He had been admitted at the Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani hospital where he was pronounced dead. Sadashiv Amrapurkar had won two filmfare awards during his career. One trophy he had received for the best supporting actor for ‘Ardh Satya’ in 1984 and later in the year 1991 he received the trophy for the best villain for his role in ‘Sadak’ in which he played the role of a eunuch.

His body had been kept at the Bhaidas Auditorium for family, friends, relatives and fans to pay their last tribute to the actor. His cremation will be held tomorrow in his hometown Ahmad Nagar, Gujarat. The actor is survived by his wife and three daughters. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
