Bollywood Shocker: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput Commits Suicide

Bollywood’s phenomenal actor Sushant Singh Rajput has reportedly committed suicide at his home in Mumbai. The actor was living alone during the lockdown. His house help informed the police about it.

Sushant Singh Rajput was born in Patna. His brother Neeraj Kumar Bablu is an MLA. His sister-in-law is an MLC in the Bihar Legislative Council. He is survived by his elder brother, two sisters and father Dr KK Singh. Sushant lost his mother in 2002, when he was only 16 years old.

Rajput was a big TV star, and started his career with the Television show Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil and rose to fame with Pavitra Rishta. With the Zee TV show, he ruled the hearts of the people for many years. His on-screen chemistry with actress Ankita Lokhnade was much appreciated by the viewers. He then debuted into Bollywood with director Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kai Po Che’, based on the book by Chetan Bhagat. And worked in several popular films like PK, MS Dhoni  and Chhichhore.  Sushant was last seen in Netflix film ‘Drive’.

A shell-shocked film industry posted tributes on Twitter. “Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless…I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in Chhichhore and telling my friend Sajid, its producer how much I’d enjoyed the film and wish I’d been a part of it. Such a talented actor…may God give strength to his family,” Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar wrote.

Ajay Devgn wrote, “The news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death is truly sad. What a tragic lossFolded hands deepest condolences to his family & loved ones. May his soul find eternal peace?”

After Irfan  Khan and Rishi Kapoor’s death, Sushant Singh Rajput  death is a terrible loss to Bollywood.
