Margaret Thatcher, 87, also known as the ‘Iron Lady’ funeral was a grand affair, in which all the dignitaries, former and current Prime Ministers along with their wives and admirers from all fields paid their last respect to her. Thousands of supporters were throwing blue roses in the path of the ‘Iron Lady’ along with patriotic hymns, military honours and many in tears. Margaret Thatcher’s coffin was first taken to St Paul’s Cathedral where it had been attended by Queen Elizabeth and 11 serving Prime Ministers from around the world.
Margaret Thatcher was loved by many but along with that there were many of her opponents also present who were heard booing in the crowd. While some were paying patriotic hymns for her, some of her opponents were heard chanting ‘Ding Dong the witch is dead’. Also many of the Britons were upset with the fact that the grandest funeral in British which had turned up around 10 million pounds, would be taken from the people itself in the manner of taxpaying.
