The issue of Bandra resident Fazlu Rehman Shaikh harassing the students of Bandra’s National Girls’ High school and Junior college of Commerce has once again come to light. The school has alleged that Rehman has been demanding Rs 5 lakhs from the school. Despite a complaint being filed in the police station, no arrest has been made yet. The National Girls High School and Junior college of commerce imparts education from kindergarten to junior college. There are around 3500 students studying the school in two shifts. Fazlu Rehman Shaikh, who stays in the vicinity has been harassing the girl students of the school. According to the principal of the school, Aziz Valiullah, problem started when Rehman’s application for a trustee member of the school was rejected. Later he even tried to extort Rs 5 lakhs from the school management. Even the parents and teachers voiced their concern with us. A complaint was filed at the Nirmal Nagar Police station two months ago but when we tried to speak with ACP Navnath Kokane he stated that no complaint was registered with them.
