The census work in Mumbai city ha started. MCGM Commissioner and Additional Commissioner appealed the people for their co-operation during this time. In order to make the National Population Register, the work of census survey has been started in Mumbai city. In every 10 years, the Indian Government conducts census. This year it would be the 15th census from 1872 and 7th census from post-independence. To inform more about this process, MCGM had organized a press conference in KEM Hospital at Parel. Additional Commissioner, Manisha Patankar appealed to citizens to co-operate in the process. She warned census officers that if they do not carry on with their duty properly then it may be considered as a punishable offence. Even MCGM Commissioner Swadheen Kshatriya appealed that if census officer do not contact within 15 days then citizen should inform about it to nearby ward officer.
