Central Railways celebrated their 53 rd Railway week at Matunga. Present at the event was Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways Naranbhai Rathwa and other railway dignitaries who were felicitated during the event.The Central Railways laid its foundation by starting a train covering the distance of 33 kms from Mumbai to Thane. After that, Central railways underwent great progress and celebrated its 53rd Railway week at Matunga. The event was graced by Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways Naranbhai Rathwa and thousands of other railway officials. Many of the railway officials were also felicitated during the event. The Safety Shield was given to Northern Railway, Mechanical Engineering Shield was given to Central Railway and Western Railway was awarded the Traffic Transportation Shield.Dancing to the tunes of Vande Matram, the performers entertained everyone during the cultural programme. The officials and employees of the Central Railways however did miss their Union Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav who was to grace the event but remained absent.
