CHANDAN YATRA CELEBRATIONS AT BHAGAVAT DHAM, PARSIK HILLS

bhagwat-dhamChandan Yatra – a festival underway at Bhagawad Dham, has been organized by the Gaudiya Vaishnav Association. Chandan Yatra is a ritual that was started more than 600 years back in Orissa’s famous Gopinath Temple. It is celebrated during summer when Chandan is applied on Lord Krishna. Bhagawad Dham at Parsik Hills, Navi Mumbai is one of the few religious centers to organize that Chandan Yatra. Hence one can see several devoteed making a beeline to Bhagawad Dham at Parsik Hills.
