Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was present in the city to inaugurate a spree of projects. Sana Warsia was present during the bhoomipujan of some significant projects in the city and reports. Adding glamour to CIDCO Navi Mumbai Festival 2010, Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was present in the city to inaugurate some significant projects. Also present with him were Excise Minister Ganesh Naik, Minister of Finance and Planning Sunil Tatkare, Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Suresh Shetty, MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik, MLAs Sandepp Naik and Prashant Thakur, Commissioner of Police Gulabrao Pol, CIDCO MD G S Gill amongst others. The Chief Minister’s first stop was at Ulwe where is completed the bhoomipujan of the proposed mass housing scheme for the lower income group. The next visit of the Chief Minister was to the Khandeshwar Lake where CIDCO has been developing a Wetland Research Centre. Following this visit, the Chief Minister proceeded to Kharghar to handover the keys of the apartments on KH1 and KH2 in Vastu vihar housing project to the allotees. The Chief Minister also conducted the bhoomipujan of the proposed police stations at Kharghar, Kamothe and NRI. During his visit, the Chief Minister also inaugurated one of the most talked about and ambitious project of CIDCO, the Central Park. Post the inauguration, Ashok Chavan took a tour of the site. During his addressal, stressing on the importance of balanced overall development of cities, Ashok Chavan complimented CIDCO MD G S Gill for his commendable work and initiative in developing eco-friendly projects which will benefit the city in future.
