“CIDCO was my first love and will always be. I played a role of a catalyst not a leader. And I am confident that the new Managing Director shall efficiently take CIDCO to more great heights and soon we will see eminent projects on a run”, said Shri Sanjay Bhatia at a farewell programme organised on 25th April, 2016 at CIDCO Bhavan. CIDCO had organised a programme to give warm farewell to Shri Sanjay Bhatia and welcome Shri Bhushan Gagrani who has now taken the charge as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO.
Present for the programme were Smt. V Radha, Jt. MD, Shri R R Chavan, Jt. MD, Dr. Pradnya Saravade, Chief Vigilance Officer, Shri Nilesh Tandel, Chairman, CIDCO Employees Union and CIDCO Officers and employees. Joined on 4th March 2013 as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, Shri Sanjay Bhatia was responsible for planning and development of Navi Mumbai and other new towns in Maharashtra including special projects like Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) and Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA). His eminent initiatives for transparent governance have laid a solid foundation for corruption free and citizen centric governance in the Corporation.
Shri Sanjay Bhatia further shared, “I have worked on the things which people and officers were keen to bring in the society. So the credit goes to them.” He also appreciated CIDCO officers and employees for their remarkable support and contribution in making the projects successful.
Enthusiastically taking the charge as the VC&MD of CIDCO, Shri Bhushan Gagrani said, “Shri Sanjay Bhatia has always proposed insightful thinking. In all his decisions so far, he has included citizens and their benefits. Apart from this, he has done a remarkable contribution in establishing proper work flow in the systems. The programme happened is so friendly that I can see the affection of employees towards him.”

MD, Dr. Pradnya Saravade, Chief Vigilance Officer, Shri K K Varkhedkar, Chief Engineer (Navi Mumbai), Shri Pradeep Rath, Company Secretary and Shri Nilesh Tandel, Chairman, CIDCO employees Union also expressed their feelings and work experiences.
To conclude, Shri Bhushan Gagrani taking the charge as the VC&MD of CIDCO was felicitated with shawl and shreephal at the hands of Smt V Radha, Jt. MD. Shri Bhushan Gagrani felicitated Shri Sanjay Bhatia with shawl and shreephal. Additionally, Shri Sanjay Bhatia was honored with Citation and Silver plate at the hands of Shri K K Varkhedkar, Chief Engineer (Navi Mumbai), Shri Sanjay Chaudhary, Chief Engineer (NMIA) and Shri Sanjay Darade, Chief Engineer (Special projects). While Dr. Pradnya Saravade presented a book on meditation to Shri Sanjay Bhatia.
CIDCO Employees union also felicitated Shri Sanjay Bhatia with shawl, shreephal and gift as a token of love. The wordings of the citation presented were recited by Dr. Mohan Ninawe.
