CITY GIRL SHINES IN CRICKET, ENTERS MCA SQUAD

cricket-qiriIt was a great moment for Vashi based cricketer Urvashi Ambre, when she was selected in the 20 member Mumbai Cricket association. The 16 year old is currently undergoing month long coaching camp at MCA Cricket academy at Bandra Kurla complex. Cricket was always a male dominated game. But over the years even girls have been involving in this sport. Vashi based Urvashi Ambre has made it to enter under 16 group of Mumbai Cricket association. A student of Navi Mumbai High School, Vashi took up the sport only three years back and since has always been a part of the school team. She has played crucial role in helping the school win under 19 district inter school title since past three years and finished runners up at the zonal level twice. We spoke to Urvashi who shared her views with us about cricket as her passion. For Urvashi her dreams do not end here. She aspires to represent the country in this sport. We also spoke to her coach Vikas Satam who says that the girl has great potential and can excel in the sport and what scope the sport has in the country for women.
