Clear Skies, but heavy traffic jam in Dubai

After a day of deluge and heavy thunderstorm, UAE residents woke up to clear, sunny skies Thursday as the low pressure affecting the country began to weaken.

Wet weather had let up so far on Thursday morning but the chances of rainfall still persisted over some parts of the UAE.

“The intensity of instability conditions will weaken during afternoon while the amount of clouds will increase over scattered northern and eastern areas accompanied with towering clouds with chances of scattered rain shower,” the Thursday weather alert for the UAE Met Office read.

The RTA urged Dubai road-users heading to and from Abu Dhabi to use Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road due to the accumulation of rain water on Shaikh Zayed Road.
