The second day of Navratri was celebrated with great gusto at Gujrat Bhavan in Sector 14 of Vashi. The celebration was in a very traditional manner with traditional garba music and dandiya. ‘Jai Ambe Maa’; with these wordings, people at Gujrat Bhavan started with the garba and dandiya night at Gujrat Bhavan at Sector 14, Vashi. The festival is celebrated since last 22 years by Shree Gujrati Samaj. Following the aarti of Goddess Ambe Maa, women dressed in colourful costumes began playing garba around the temple of the goddess. The specialty of this garba night is that unlike other dandiyas and garba mandals that play loud DJ music and bollywood songs, the festival at Gujrat Bhavan is celebrated in a very traditional manner. Even children dressed in colourful ethnic costumes and ornaments were not behind in showcasing their performances. The Dandiya night was enjoyed by one and all, from youngsters to senior citizens.
