COMMUTERS ALLEGE STEALING OF VEHICLES BY TURBHE TRAFFIC POLICE

traffic1Vehicle owners who park their vehicles opposite the Juinagar railway station have alleged that the Turbhe traffic department has been stealing vehicles parked here. They stated that while towing a vehicle, the traffic police needs to mark the spot, which is not being done by the traffic police. This is not the first time that the working of the Navi Mumbai traffic police has come under the scanner. This time it’s at the Juinagar railway station where motorists allege that the Turbhe traffic police illegally tow their vehicles away without marking the spot. As per rules, when a vehicle parked in a non-parking zone is towed away by the traffic police department, they have to write in the date and time on the particular spot. However, motorists allege that the Turbhe traffic police violate this rule leaving them confused if their vehicle was stolen or towed away. Police Inspector at Turbhe Traffic Police had only lame excuses, however he did say that the matter would be investigated. With cameraperson Dyaneshwar Mali, Sudhir Sharma for NMTV News.
