There is good news in store for residents of Ghodbunder road area. Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport will soon start its bus services between Mulund (West) station and Borivali via Ghodbunder. Commuters on the route from Mulund to Borivali had been facing many problems because of poor bus connectivity. Speaking during a press conference, BEST General Manager Uttam Khobragade stated that they will soon be plying 20 buses on this route. He further stated that the bus frequency would be increased after looking at the response. Over the past five years, a township has come up on Ghodbunder road. The bus service would be a welcome change for the residents of Ghodbunder as the area doesn’t have enough transport facilities, though the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and TMT ply a few vehicles on the route. He also stated that if there were demands of AC buses on this route then that too would be certainly looked into. With cameraperson Ravi Nikam, Ashok Jagtap for NMTV News.
