Sunil Patil, who fought NMMC Elections as a Congress candidate from ward no. 79 in Nerul has been arrested by police along with his accomplice Ankush Bhoir in connection with a fake PAN card case. The police department has arrested Sunil Patil, , who fought NMMC Elections as a Congress candidate from ward no. 79 in Nerul in connection with a fake PAN card case. The matter came to light when police arrested one Mohammed Hassan Shaikh before the NMMC elections for possessing 55 fake PAN cards. During the course of interrogation, Shaikh confessed that Patil had given a contract of Rs 6 lakh to make fake PAN cards. Accordingly Patil and his accomplice too were arrested. Patil and Bhoir has been arrested under sections 465 (Punishment for forgery), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating), 473 (making or possessing counterfeit) and 34 of the IPC.
