CONGRESS CORPORATOR MAKES SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS AFTER VIDEO RECORDING EXPOSES IRREGULARITIES IN MCGM WARD COMMITTEE ELECTIONS

bmcMCGM Congress’s corporator Aziz Abdul Karim has alleged that a nexus of the administration and ruling party led to his defeat in the ward committee elections of MCGM. Despite receiving maximum votes, was declared defeated in MCGM’s K West Ward Committee elections by the administration. The Congress has alleged that in the K West Ward Committee elections of MCGM the ruling party that is Shiv Sena in nexus with the MCGM administration cheated to cause their candidate’s defeat. While the elections are generally held with the present corporators raising their hands to the party which they support, for the first time, the administration asked the corporators to sign for their candidates, giving way to irregularities. The corporators who made a mistake in signing for their candidate even appealed to the presiding officer present even before the result were announced, but the plea was refused by the officer. Corporators called this irregularity by the administration as the massacre of democracy. They stated that they would go to High court against this irregularity.
