The Congress Ministers in the state Cabinet will now meet the aam aadmi at the party’s Nariman Point office twice a week. With an approval from Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, State Congress Chief Manikrao Thakre has made this program compulsory for all 18 ministers. The ministers will be present on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm. Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and MPCC Chief Manicrao Thakre have launched the program. The party will allot each minister his dates. The aim is to bring the government closer to the public. It will ensure greater coordination between the organization and government. MPCC Chief Manikrao Thakre had spoken on these lines to NMTV News and had informed us that there aim to take the work being done by the state to the end citizens of the state. The Congress party will call this Jansampark Abhiyaan that is Public Relations Exercise. Under the program, the party workers are expected to bring to the minister’s notice issues, which the general public has to deal with.
