On V Day the confidence of victory seemed to have reached another level or so it seems. Going against the wishes of the Congress leadership at the center and state , Namdeo Bhagat chose to rebel from the Congress party and contest the election as an independent candidate from Belapur constituency. Namdeo Bhagat cast his vote with his family at the municipal school in Nerul village. Speaking to NMTV News after casting his vote, Namdeo Bhagat accepted that there was anxiety but then he was ready to take on the battle of fighting against the system. And like all the other candidates, even Namdeo Bhagat voiced confidence of his victory. No matter how much Namdeo Bhagat and the Congress corporators from Navi Mumbai try to justify, fact is that they rebelled against the decisions of party Chief Sonia Gandhi to contest as Congress rebel candidates.
