CONGRESS TAKES ON THE MARATHI FACTOR FOR UPCOMING STATE ASSMEBLY ELECTIONS

Keeping in mind the upcoming state assembly elections, Congress seems to be playing the Marathi factor card. Or so it seemed when Mumbai Congress Chief Kripashankar Singh stated that since the language of Maharashtra was Marathi, shops boards in Mumbai should be in the Marathi lingual. Mumbai Congress Chief Kripashankar Singh made the statement while speaking to the press after his meet with the civic Commissioner Dr. Jairaj Pathak. He stated that preference should be given to the language of the state first and hence, shop in Mumbai should have the Marathi name board.
