DAV NEW PANVEL HOLDS DECLAMATION

dav-declamation-3There was a declamation competition held at the DAV Public School, New Panvel. The exemplary presentation of the youngsters in this annual event reinstated the fact that indeed if worked upon, the youth will prove to be the biggest asset of this nation. Under the dynamic leadership of DAV Regional Director Dr. K B Kushal, DAV schools continuously strive to impart quality education and conduct programs for the over all development of a student. In the course, an Inter House Declamation Competition 2005 – 2006 was held at DAV Public School, New Panvel, which showcased the exemplary public speaking skills of the students here. The declamation competition was for the 10th and 11th students. The topic given to the students was “Reservation Policy is Diluting Intelligence”. Being a topic very close to the heart of this generation, the participants spoke very competently and passionately about how reservation would only lead to widening the rift of an already divided India. Students explicated with examples that the government should first focus on providing education to the backward classes at the primary level and not reserve seats in prestigious institutes for higher education. The event ended with the prize distribution ceremony to the winners. The judges Dr. Sanjaykumar Thakur – Coordinator Emergency Services, Belhoul Apollo Hospital, Dubai and Mrs. Ranjana Gupta – Sr. English Teacher of J H Ambani School, Lodhivali. Not only did the event bring to limelight the exemplary oratory skills of the students of DAV Public School, New Panvel but also exhibited the passion in these students to be contributors in the progress and future of this nation.
