Commuters and pedestrians will have to brave the scenario at Vashi if it rains like 26/7 this year. We bring to you a list of days when it could possibly flood due to heavy rains. Here is the list of dates when you should keep your raincoats, umbrellas and rainwear ready to handle fierce rain. The 13 high tide days in monsoon this year will be on June 13, 14, 15 July 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and August 9, 10, 11, 12, 13. These are the days when monsoon will hit Navi Mumbai in full force so be prepared to wade through knee-deep waters because the city is not prepared to tackle the rains. More so as there are little chances of the pre monsoon work meeting the May 31 deadline for preventive measures. Sources say that road-widening projects and repairs have taken a backseat with the corporation taking up immediate clean-up of nullahs and holding ponds. This means road works will take more time, much to the discomfort of motorists and pedestrians. The public will have to risk braving potholed roads, which will become worse with heavy rains.
