Lax attitude of Indian Railways despite security alerts throughout the country were exposed when two dead bodies were found in a parcel at Pavan Express bound to Muzzafarpur. Just how serious railway authorities are about security post blasts across the country was seen in a recent incident that has rung an alarm bell for common commuters. In a bizarre incident, the Railway Police found two bodies at Muzaffarpur Station sent by Pawan Express from Kurla terminus in a parcel bag. Following foul smell emanating from the parcel room, the suspicious parcels were traced and opened in presence of Government Rail Police (GRP). How did the bodies pass the scanner – was the question on everyone’s minds. But all the railway police had were lame unconvincing replies. The address on the parcel containing the bodies was fake. The railway police is investigating the matter. With cameraperson Vikrant Baile, Ajaz Khan for NMTV News.
