DESPITE PROMISES OF ZERO LOADSHEDDING, THANE CITY SUFFERS FROM FREQUENT POWER CUTS

Despite assurances of zero load-shedding in Thane, residents face frequent water cuts. Protesting against this, BJP party staged a protest outside MSEDC office. The BJP party rallied outside the MSEDC office in Thane in order to protest against frequent power cuts. Effigies of Energy Minister Ajit Dada Pawar were burnt during the protest rally near the Wagle Estate based MSEDC office. The protestors complained that while the cost of the entire day’s power with no load shedding was pocketed from them, only malls were provided with uninterrupted power supply. It is the common people who have to bear the burnt of load shedding. In view of this, BJP has threatened to initiate a mass protest if the crisis is not redressed at the earliest.
