DISAPPOINTED BY ABSENCE OF WARD OFFICERS, STANDING COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN SANDEEP NAIK ADVISES COMMISSIONER VIJAY NAHATA TO CONTROL THE ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEM

Disappointed and irked by absence of ward officers during his pre monsoon visit, Standing Committee Sandeep Naik advised Commissioner Vijay Nahata to take control of the municipal system. The Chairman was speaking to NMTV News Dy. Editor Sana Warsia at the Vashi ward office where the ward officer Anil Naik was not present despite being informed of the Chairman’s visit. NMMC Standing Committee Chairman Sandeep Naik was more than disappointed during his day out to visit ward offices across the city to take stock of the pre monsoon work done by the corporation in the city. Not only did corporators and citizens of various nodes inform the Chairman of some areas that needed immediate attention but even officials who should have been present in ward offices during the visit chose to stay absent from the Chairman’s meetings. This included Vashi ward officer Anil Naik who was not present for the Chairman Sandeep Naik’s meeting and public discussions at Vashi ward office. The response of the officials to the Chairman’s visit reflected just that lightly officials took the visit. Irked and disappointed by the response of the officials, Chairman Sandeep Naik said that he’d advise the Commissioner to take control of the administrative system. The Chairman also did not seem to be satisfied with the pre monsoon work stating that situation in low lying situation was indeed grim.
