A disaster management meet was held in Thane in the presence of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik. Addressing the meet, he said that there was a need to tackle flooding this monsoon. Thane city was also not spared from the 26/7 deluge. Huge loss of property and life was witnessed. Thane being situated near the coast, there are many lakes and creeks here. With the onset of monsoon the city needs to be completely prepared for any kind of disaster. A meet was held in this regard in which, Thane Guardian Ganesh Naik spoke on the preparations being done. Present along with the minister was Navi Mumbai Police commissioner Ramrao Wagh, TMC Commissioner Nandkumar Jantre, Asst Police Commissioner Tukaram Chauhan and other administrative heads. A presentation on Disaster Management was also held at the Collector’s Office. Equipments used during Disaster management was presented and inaugurated at the hands of Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik.
